A striking plate from the 1901 Japanese design journal Bijutsukai, this woodblock-style print features overlapping circular floral and leaf forms in coral, lavender, mint, and yellow against a bold black ground. The intricate white line work and flat colour blocks are characteristic of Meiji-era decorative art, blending botanical detail with graphic pattern.
The composition fills the picture plane with rhythmic, layered shapes — ideal for gallery walls seeking a bold yet refined statement. Its rich palette and organic forms suit Japandi, maximalist botanical, and eclectic interiors alike.
